We are currently searching for an Interior Designer to work with an industry leading design firm here in the Atlanta area. This role will call upon the interior designer to have experience developing organizing and executing conceptual design of a project. Typical projects would be for institutional work generally places of worship and higher education buildings. Additional work on commercial projects will be required on occasion. The role will be asked to take lead on at least one or two projects and support others at the same time. In addition to leading the project the Designer will be responsible for the creating of the design documents as well as the construction documents utilizing Revit and other software as necessary.

Pay: $30.00-$33.00/hr

Responsibilities:

Ability to manage, mentor and delegate to Interns, Designer I and II as needed to complete drawings, documents,
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks as needed to complete within the identified time frame and/or deadline.
Knowledge of expectations related to high quality service to clients.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Possess basic hand and CAD drafting skills.
Possess space planning skills and interest in programming
Basic knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.
Basic knowledge of furniture, fixture and equipment (FF), architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art signage, color and materials to carryout design intent.
Basic knowledge of building regulations, life safety codes and ADA requirements
Basic knowledge of the construction process as it relates to the drawings being produced
Basic knowledge about sustainability, LEED guidelines and WELL Building preferred
Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software
Proficiency with Revit
Ability to conduct field surveys
Build Models
Prepare and modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc.
Assist with the schematic phases as directed (sketching, input of sketches, modification of schematic test fit plans, etc.).
Support the Project Manager and project team in understanding /establishing project goals and objectives including workplan, schedule, budget parameters.
Ability to contribute to fee proposals and project work plans.
Participate with selection and specification of furniture, lighting, flooring, wall covering and artwork.
Solicit bids and assist Project Manager and client in subcontracting fabrication, installation, and arrangement of the materials, finishes, and furnishings.
Ability to lead the Construction Administration phase responding to RFI' s, CO' s, reviewing shop drawings and involved in the field site reviews.

Required:

Bachelor' s degree
5 plus years of Interior Design Experienced focused on Institutional and Commercial projects
Ability to lead Projects
Revit Proficiency
