Job Description

To assist the Director of Housekeeping in the daily operation of the department. In addition to these duties the housekeeping supervisor should have the ability to assist associates with scheduling, training, standards of appearance, performance reviews and proper time keeping for accurate payroll. The housekeeping supervisor should be well versed with the Omni Culture and demonstrate the ability to conduct OST meetings and Moments of Service.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Present a well-groomed, professional appearance at all times while on property
Conduct department stand up meetings when necessary
Acknowledge and greet associates and guest when conducting walk-throughs of front of the house and back of the house areas.
Supervise the performance, attendance, appearance standards and conduct of the staff.
Assigns special assignments as directed by the Director of Housekeeping
Walk VIP arrivals daily and report any deficiencies in a timely manner
Conduct daily conversations with GRA in assigned areas, and ensure all necessary rooms in assigned areas are completed.
Walk pick up and vacant clean rooms that are left from the previous night and communicate the status to the office coordinator
Reports any repairs or discrepancies of guest rooms. Follow up with housekeeping management on delays with repairs or deficiencies in guest rooms
Ensures that all GRA's have appropriate supplies and linens.
Ensure line-level staff are in proper uniform and are abiding by the grooming policy
Assists in the cleaning of guest's rooms when necessary.
Assists in processing AM and PM room status reports.
Insures that the GRA's housekeeping cart is neat and well organized.
Insures that linen closets on guest room floors are in good condition
Walk section by end of day to make sure hallways are clear of trash and linen
Maintain an efficient system of communication between Housekeeping and other departments.
Conduct inspections of public space and guest room cleaning as assigned by the Department Head
Hold staff accountable for end of shift checklists and assignments
Conduct walk-throughs on a daily basis and report areas of concern in synergy or the appropriate channel
Maintain an efficient system of internal communication regarding operations, guest and associate events or needs through an MOD report or other form of communication
Ensure that Omni Standard Operating Procedures are maintained and adhered to in all assigned areas.
Achieve a comprehensive knowledge of all functions of Opera, Synergy and Outlook.
Represent Housekeeping as needed at meetings, including stand-ups, departmental meetings and monthly OST.
Review and resolve all guest opportunities or guest recovery opportunities in a timely basis. Follow up with associates on feedback from guests
Maintain high levels of service standards.
Remain visible in front of the house guest space, supporting Associate's and Guest's needs.
Provide on-the-job training to any new and current associates as needed, or as directed the department head
Adhere to all Omni and departmental policies and procedures.
Perform MOS training with associates, as required
Complete the opening and closing of the facility.

HOTEL SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

Commitment to and demonstration of The Omni Mission Statement and 6 Pillars.
Complete in-house orientation program, which covers all policies and procedures as per the manual and associate handbook.
Have a working knowledge of Omni Homestead general information and history.
Maintain Guest satisfaction through Medallia program in a timely and efficient manner.
