JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for a combination of general facilities work in regulated spaces. Duties include painting,

patchwork, minor repairs, and escorting vendors through the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Patching and painting to a limited level

Minor repairs of architectural items, cabinets, doors, windows

Escorting of vendors

Installation of shelving, tank holders, paper towel racks, coat hooks and various other items

Interface with front line clients on various requests

Assist trades personnel with maintenance tasks, corrective, and preventative

Mechanical Area clean ups (not janitorial work)

Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

HS Diploma/GED Required (Trade School background preferred)

2 to 4 years' experience in general facility maintenance required

Experience in a regulated cGMP/ISO900 maintenance facility is preferred

CMM system experience (example Maximo, EAMS) working knowledge of proper documentation

protocols, hand and power tool use, computer literate and working knowledge of Microsoft office

preferred

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask

clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.

Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of

employees.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures

such as percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve

problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Familiar and proficient in industrial safety protocols and use

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results

and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
