Description

The Davis Companies is currently partnering with a large manufacturing company looking to add an experience Facility Engineering Manager to their growing team. The Engineering Manager will oversee facility operations and maintenance tasks needed to support manufacturing operations within a manufacturing facility. Will also serve as the facility environmental and safety officer. This is a direct hire position with great benefits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing the Maintenance teams effectively, including but not limited to engineering activities, continuous improvement initiatives, capital project support, facilities security, facilities installation and maintenance activities, and general cleanliness and overall upkeep of the facilities
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that equipment and fixtures continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
  • Inspect, or test equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
  • Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment
  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists
  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts
  • Maintenance and repair of major equipment including chiller packages, pumps, cooling towers, air handlers, cooling coils and electric heating coils, exhaust fans, switchgears and motor control centers, and fire detection/alarm system
  • Ensure that all activities of the department comply with rules and requirements of the FDA, ISO, RC/GADNR, OSHA, EPA, and other government agencies

EXPERIENCE:

  • Seven years of experience in the facilities engineering and maintenance
  • HVAC Repair Experience
  • Supervision of trade employees
  • Manufacturing Industry Experience Highly Desired
  • Unrestricted, universal HVAC / refrigeration / EPA licenses required. (Class 2, 4,CFC)
