US Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management service company, is seeking Equipment Operators in the Hampton, Virginia area. The Equipment Operators will perform a combination of skilled equipment operations, preventive maintenance and manual labor tasks in roadway maintenance. Equipment Operations includes but is not limited to; backhoe, dump truck, loader, motor-grader, tractor/bush-hog and similar equipment. This position also engages in the following; flag traffic, set up work zones and traffic control, cut brush, clean ditches/debris and patch potholes, perform emergency roadway operations. Qualifications:Knowledge of highway maintenance equipment, materials methods and proceduresAble to perform heavy manual labor (carry 50 pounds 50 yards)Able to read and follow oral and written instructionsAble to communicate effectively orally and in writingSkilled in the operation and maintenance of light, medium and heavy-duty equipment used for highway maintenance and repairEducation:High School diploma/GED or demonstrated equivalent experience or trainingLicense/Registrations:Driver's license valid in VirginiaDOT medical cardMust have a Class B minimum CDLAbility to obtain Flagging Certification within 60 days of employmentOther Requirements:A fingerprint based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) will be conducted prior to employmentFlexible schedule (relates to a 24/7/365 operating environment)18 years of age or olderDrug Screening will be conducted prior to employmentRequired VDOT/Industry trainingWork Conditions90 day probation periodSignificant all-season/all-hour operating conditionsMay be subject to short or no-notice work assignmentsWork is primarily outside along interstate highways requiring necessary safety precautions involved in working with electricity in and alongside trafficFast-paced, multi-tasking environment subject to short or no-notice work assignments and exposure to inclement weatherWork environment is informal, both team and autonomy oriented, having routine tasks with variable pace and pressureWeekend, evening and overtime work may be required.
