We are currently seeking a mid-level Equipment Manager to support Construction operations and manage our heavy equipment fleet. The anticipated start date for this role is ASAP. McMillen Equipment & Site Services (MESS) helps to ensure the profitability of MESS equipment through the improved equipment utilization and mechanical reliability by delivering world-class equipment and services. The position's main focus will be to improve equipment reliability as well as implement, monitor, audit, and manage preventative maintenance programs. Duties and Responsibilities: may Include: other duties may be assigned.Plans, schedules, budgets, monitors utilization and reliability of construction equipment fleet. Deals with day to day as well as long term issues related to an equipment fleet.Understands and complies with all federal, state, and company health, safety, and environmental reequipments. Manages company shop and crew.Material handling and procurement.Creates and maintains tool/filter lists and documentation.Conducts inspections of equipment and parts.Logistics management and communication.Oversees long/short range equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting.Completes planning and paperwork processing to prepare for critical lifts.Uses reliability and failure analysis data to increase equipment availability and reliability.Establishes and maintains communications between all levels of job supervision and company management.Supports craft maintenance technicians by ordering parts, managing inventory, scheduling crews, and managing quality and safety. Completes specialty projects as needed. Creates weekly utilization reports, budgets, Idle equipment reports, Life cycle analysis, and Buy/ Write off analysis. Manages Rental Fleet when needed.Manages Crane Fleet. Location: Home Office of Boise, but travel will be expected. We go where the work is, which exposes your career to abundant opportunities. For this role, the locations of work will be focused on the West Coast which may include locations in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Montana, and New Mexico. Qualifications:Has obtained an undergraduate AS/ BS degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Construction Management. 5+ year of experience with equipment is preferred. 5+ year of experience with equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting is preferred. Ability to help size the right equipment for projects.Ability to help see needs and grow the fleet by the acquisition of new equipment and sale of old. Strong work ethic. Willing to do what it takes to get the job done. Strong organizational, time management and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on multiple projects at once while prioritizing tasks. Willingness to travel and relocate as required.Willingness to work in both office and field environments. Ability to freely access all points of a construction site or equipment yard in wide-ranging climates and environment.Compensation & Benefits:Salary Based on Experience.
