The world deserves BETTER PIZZA and we deliver it!We are more than just a pizza company; we're a pizza family and our secret ingredient is YOU!The Construction Assistant will be based in Atlanta and support the Construction team with administrative duties for all phases of a project, from bid process through completion. This role will be a key member of the project team providing assistance in duties essential to ensuring the timely and successful opening of Corporate and Franchise stores.This role is responsible for the construction administration of the full project lifecycle of PJI construction projects in alignment with the business strategy.Duties & Responsibilities:Assist in execution and documentation of all onsite construction activities (i.e., GC contracts, GC draw payments, Lien waivers, change orders, certificates of insurance, budget reconciliation, etc.).Develop, communicate and manage meeting minutes and action items from project meetings.Create and maintain documentation and processes as they relate to construction in partnership with Construction Project Managers.Assist in developing project bids and conducting bid comparisons.Collect and review construction material purchase orders and track deliveries to construction sites.Schedule utility connections for new sites and setup new utility accounts.Assist in the assembly of closeout documents.Prepare and track project schedules, review and monitor job costs vs budgets.Track budgeting and scheduling for projects, monitoring progress and identify any potential risks.Create change order logs and continued tracking of change order status.Effectively communicate to key parties (i.e., Project Managers, vendors, contractors, sub‐contractors, utility companies, etc.) and maintain positive relationshipsQualificationsFunctional Skills :Analytical Skills: effectively uses data to generate insights for operations excellence Planning & Prioritization: highest impact, highest value Financial & Business Acumen Communicates Effectively and Candidly Problem Solving; ability to use rigorous logic to solve problems with innovative effective solutions Process Improvement: Strive to continually improveEducation, Experience & Certifications:Minimum 1‐2 years' experience in design or construction management, or related field High school diploma, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Ability to organize and prioritize workload Experience in Restaurant or Retail Operations preferred Experience working with Franchisees preferredExciting things are happening at Papa John's corporate restaurants.
