Job description
Perform all irrigation activities including, but not limited to, setting components, excavating and backfilling trenches, repairing breaks and malfunctions, and winterization of systems.
Operate power equipment to perform irrigation services, including but not limited to trenchers, pipe pullers, boring units, plate compactors, line locators, drills, etc.
Use irrigation hand tools including, but not limited to, shovels, spades, pipe cutters, rakes, etc.
Communicate with immediate supervisor about any malfunctioning equipment and all site problems experienced.
Analyze property needs and provide recommendations for improvement.
Maintain a high level of quality, efficiency and customer service.
Desired Skills and Experience
2+ years experience preferred.
Experience and knowledge of irrigation installation, service, start-up, winterization, and repair.
Previous experience operating a trencher, pipe puller, skid steer, and backhoe preferred.
Must have the knowledge and ability to properly identify irrigation problems and take appropriate action to make repairs.
Backflow Certification preferred or willing to obtain.
Self-motivated and a quick learner.
Possess strong social, organizational and communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with managers and customers.
