Job Description & Requirements

• Under broad supervision performs diverse and specialized analytical functions.
• Performs duties involving the interpretation of international trade regulations for multiple countries.
• Assesses business risk in relation to import and export business transactions.
• Communicates directly with government agencies, forwarders, brokers, engineers and subject matter experts.
• Applies for export and import license authorizations on behalf of the company.
• Files status reports to various government agencies.
• Acts as an administrator for the company's export and import licenses.
• Is proficient in the use of SAP.
• Must have sufficient knowledge of the company's products in order to assign export and import classification numbers.
• This person is empowered to block any order transaction that is not in compliance with the company's internal control program.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiar with EU and UK regulations.
• (3-5 years) experience in trade compliance, government regulations, customs, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement or logistics.
