Position: Interior Designer

Location: San Francisco Potrero Hill Design District

Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish design vision in collaboration with Principal Designer


• Clear client communication that will include drawings, product samples, and concept boards


• Implement design vision through documentation, pricing, and construction phases


• Day-to-day communication with clients, design team, vendors, tradespeople, and builders


• Provide direction to Junior Designers


• Ensure that project budgets and schedules are kept current


• Anticipate project requirements and ensure that team members are well-informed

• Curious and energized by all aspects of design and the creative process


• A self-starter who takes pride in your critical thinking and problem-solving skills


• Thrives on the collaborative process as much as you love the chance to dig into a design challenge independently

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in an interior design or architectural firm


• A college-level degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent experience


• A seasoned design sensibility and strong portfolio


• Expertise in industry resources for furnishings, fixtures, and finishes


• Demonstrated experience with the production of design, bid, and construction drawings


• Experience with full-service design and custom kitchen and bathroom renovations


• Outstanding technical skills and strong knowledge of AutoCAD


• Experience communicating and coordinating with architects, builders, and tradespeople


• Ability to formulate and express a creative and thoughtful design perspective


• Demonstrated experience with the construction phase of projects


• Must emanate a positive attitude, professionalism, and courtesy


• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work, take initiative, and work independently


• Must have the ability to transport oneself to job sites throughout the Bay Area
