Job Overview
Overview / Responsibilities Wood is recruiting for a Integration Operations Center Optimization Operator with experience supporting the West, Central and East Texas field regions. The Integration Operations Center Optimization Operator serves on the front-line of remote operations and is the primary contact for well operations support. Utilizing remote surveillance programs, SCADA systems, and customized workflows, the operator can visualize problems from a unique perspective and quickly drive solutions. This position is based in the field office on a 14x14 rotation working nights in a control room setting and will remotely perform system wide (from well to sales) surveillance, diagnostics & optimization in collaboration with field personnel. Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required. Primary Job Responsibilities: Communicate Wells alarms to field staff SCADA, Cygnet, Intelligent, GHG, Seismic Identify immediate action alarms and perform shutdown if needed Communicate to field staff Execute PCS curtailments when needed Close interaction with Mainline IOC Controller Identify critical vs expected alarms during major downtime events Close interaction with Mainline IOC Controller Collaborate with field operators with troubleshooting Communicate shutdowns and insights from trending/analysis Manage trucking logistics and tank inventory Review and schedule load entries to meet marketing priorities, communicate priorities to carriers Isolate wells producing to tanks during loading operations Manage field requests to schedule transfer truck to work bottoms Communicate to field staff hauling issues on location Communicate with the field during emergency Blackline calls Manage Emergency Dispatch if needed Communicate Mainline alarms to field staff CF, CDP, Oil Delivery, GHG, DOT Remote Pipeline surveillance / Central Facility troubleshooting Wells gassing out liquid lines, liquid carry over in HP and LP gas streams, CF constraints (HP, LP, Liquids) Collaborate with field operators with troubleshooting, shutdowns and insights from trending/analysis, sequence shutdown events, third-party platforms on compression shutdowns Manage bullet tank levels and surveillance of central deliveries Adjust trucking schedule and outlet flows based on NGL production Adjust delivery points as production influence daily sales Manage Central Facility Offtake Nominations Remote gas movements to manage field pressures Manage gas sales specifications and nominations Dew-Point and H2S spec issues Monitor/Control DCF5 Offtake to Enterprise Manage field curtailment via PCS during Helena/ENT upsets Skills / Qualifications Basic Requirements Legally authorized to work in the United States Previous experience in oil and gas operations with understanding of production facilities, processes, surveillance Proficient in troubleshooting oil and gas facilities processes Willing to work in a Control Room environment subject to DOT Regulations Pro-actively seeks to understand and address concerns and interests of others with opposing viewpoints Handles challenges and unexpected obstacles under pressure quickly and directly Ability to work 14x14 rotations (day or nights) on 12-hours shifts with flexibility to work different schedules as needed Ability to work overtime for coverage as needed Flexibility to travel on a regular basis until June Preferred Requirements In depth knowledge of various oil and gas production/lifting methods and well control: sand production, high-pressure and low-pressure operations, free flow mechanism, gas-lift, plunger-lift, chemical treatment In depth knowledge of various facility processes: gathering systems, dehydration, compression, pipeline, stabilization Multiple years applying analytical and troubleshooting skills Proficiency with business applications software, including Office 365 Intermediate proficiency in SCADA system applications and interface Intermediate proficiency in SCADA system configuration, capabilities, and input requirements Advanced understanding of facility automation Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments Invites dialogue to gain a shared understanding and influences with confidence to drive performance Builds strong relationships based on trust and seeks opportunities to collaborate Strong interpersonal communication skills Company Overview Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
