Industrial Maintenance Technician - Kelly Engineering is seeking a full time/permanent Industrial Maintenance Technician for our client in the Barnwell, SC area. The ideal Talent will have a good Mechanical and Electrical understanding with a safety focused mindset. Day to Days + Utilize precision measuring tools Ability to work to tight machine tolerances Disassemble, repair and reassemble industrial components. + Fabricate from blueprints, existing parts or sketches - replacement parts and components. + Ability to install and replace various styles and types of bearings, bushings, slides, etc. to proper clearances and tolerances + Cover all emergency break downs and repairs in a timely manner. + Inspect Air Compressors, Vacuum system, Air, Water, and Electrical Systems and other Operation-Critical equipment to ensure functionality to required operational standards. + Report problems with equipment, leaks, and other deficiencies and take action as needed. + Perform preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Program. + Receiving inbound parts-putting away in proper storage location + Organizing and cleaning parts room Assisting in putting together parts requisitions + Perform and document daily work Qualifications + High school graduate with 1 year experience in paper converting or 3 years or more experience in industrial maintenance. + Proficient operation on basic precision manual machine tools: Vertical Milling Machine, Engine Lathe + Ability to work in an autonomous environment as well as a team environment when needed + Possess the skill and ability to perform all basic mechanical and electrical duties required. + Ability to properly assess operational state of equipment, filters, oil, hydraulics, compressors, motors, pumps, plumbing and electrical systems and determine course of action if needed. + Must be available to work weekends and holidays, overtime and call-ins if needed Target salary $62-$67K based on experience Why Kelly Engineering?
