Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Execute facilities start-up routines Monitor status readouts of primary systems and correct as needed. Examples include water PH adjustment systems, filter press cleaning, amperage draw of motors and ovens. Contributes to production efficiency by responding to maintenance calls as assigned, and either repairs or defers action to supervisor for decision. Capable of executing basic troubleshooting and repairs of electro-mechanical systems like AC/DC motors and drives, sensors, valves, hoists, PLC's and general industrial equipment used in a manufacturing environment. General facilities maintenance tasks pertaining to plumbing, welding, lighting, painting, light carpentry, etc. Completing special project action items by assigned dates and priorities. Examples are installation of new equipment, infrastructure upgrades, equipment modifications and improvements. Interactions with CMMS system to document work executed, time, spare parts usage, place orders for parts. Executing Scheduled Preventative Maintenance and Unscheduled Maintenance in compliance with safety guidelines and procedures. Accommodating shifting schedules and overtime as needed to meet the needs of the business. Examples of this are providing support to production overtime and plant shut downs. Support plant initiatives conducive to a safe, secure and clean workplace. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Be able to lift 70 pounds. Work standing on hard surfaces, ladders, under and around equipment. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: High school diploma/GED/Technical school experience and equivalent work experience. Associates degree or trade license preferred. 3 - 5 years' experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic (or equivalent) in a manufacturing environment. PLC troubleshooting knowledge is preferred. Ability to read and interpret meters, schematic diagrams, blueprints, rules and other measuring instruments. Capable of selecting proper machine tools and accessories to fabricate parts and/or to accomplish specified work to the indicated accuracy. Knowledge and experience with tools and machine shop practice. Being a self-starter, work with minimal supervision, able to set up work plan and material requirement, coordinate with colleagues, contractor and clients to carry out the work assigned.
