Job Overview
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works safely and follows all safety rules and maintenance procedures.
Repairs all machinery breakdowns.
Performs preventative maintenance on designated equipment as per PM schedule such as adjustments,
lubrication and cleaning.
Perform repairs and upgrades on building facilities.
Work on capital projects as required.
Performs necessary machinery mechanical modifications and upgrades including fabrications, assembly,
cutting, pipefitting and painting.
Clean maintenance room and cage thoroughly every week.
Disassemble, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment to component level,
returning to good condition.
Installs and rearranges mechanical equipment.
Able to start, stop and operate all equipment.
Operate production equipment to check work as required.
Set up punch dies and mechanical press.
Can work/understand drawings, schematics and/or sketches.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment.
Dismantle, repair and reassemble complex equipment.
Remove, dismantle, clean and reassemble punch dies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Complete required paperwork as required.
SAFETY
Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures.
Properly inspects equipment and completes any forms as required.
Wears and maintains all required PPE at all times.
Understands all safety devices and their operation. Notifies management if safety devices are
malfunctioning or missing prior to operation
Keeps maintenance department clean, organized and safe at all times.
Completes required paperwork for use with portable welding equipment and ladders.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NoneQUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and welding.
Mechanically inclined.
Forklift Certified Preferred.
Problem solver.Team Oriented.
Safety oriented.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: One years' experience in a maintenance department supporting an industrial manufacturing facility preferred.Electrical experience helpful. Certification as a Maintenance Technician or related trade is highly preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS;

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and changing fractions into decimals.Ability to read a tape measure, caliper and micrometer accurately. Mechanically inclined. Understanding ofbasic measuring techniques: camber, bow, squareness.WORK ENVIRONMENT: Manufacturing facility with limited climate control.Occasionally exposed to fumes.Personal Protective Equipment required at all times hard hat, work gloves, hearing protection and steel toedshoes/boots.Controlled Noise environment.JOB SPECIFICATION/ SCHEDULE:
Must pass pre employment physical, drug screening, alcohol test and background test.
Must pass maintenance comprehension test.
6:30am-5:30pm shift
Schedule: four days a week 10 hours shifts with possible overtime,
flexible schedule required.
