Your role at Clorox: In this role, you will: The purpose of the Electrical/Mechanical Technician (EMT) role is to troubleshoot and repair various process failures and equipment breakdowns. Daily tasks include initiating/completing repairs to equipment, maintaining electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components of production equipment and machines, and troubleshooting/installation of complex electrical systems using various specialized tools, electrical test equipment, PLC interface, computers, blue prints, and manuals. This position will also assist engineers and maintenance planners in the design of electrical circuitry. What we look for: Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays, for up to 7 consecutive days. Occasional mandatory overtime shifts will be required. Ability to perform effectively under stressful conditions, prioritizing job duties while working with team members, and effectively handling interruptions, priority changes, and/or emergency situations Ability to be flexible and perform a variety of duties involving frequent changes of tasks that may involve application of different aptitudes, techniques, procedures, physical demands, or degrees of attentiveness without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to complete all required safety and training courses including the Glad EMT self-study courses. Aptitude is required to make accurate numerical measurements, calculate dimensions, calculate value and size of circuitry components, compute and list total quantity of materials needed from blue prints and specifications, to estimate cost of raw materials, and to compute quantity of sizes or parts needed for each segment of the project Ability to understand and interpret instructions and detailed work procedures, reason and make judgments related to these procedures, plan, coordinate and direct own work while coping with a variety of duties and expectations from co-workers, electrical technicians, or engineers. Ability to problem solve, making decisions quickly without direct supervision. Ability to maintain effective interpersonal communication with co-workers, electrical technicians, and engineers.
