Import Customer Service Representative

Job Description:

• Receive daily overnight packages, the input of received documents, and checks into the company system.
  
• Send Arrival Notices and any other documentation when requested by customers upon verification that they are the consignee and/or notify party on the Bill of Lading.
  
• Send Release Orders to warehouses when all payments and required documents have been received.
  
• Advise respective Import Account Coordinator of documentation and payments received for all co-loaded shipments.
  
• Advise respective Import Account Coordinator of payments received for cargo that shows as not available at the time payment is received.
  
• Advise Import Account Coordinator of any discrepancies found regarding a particular shipment.
  
• Return any phone calls, within the same day, regarding import shipments.
  
• Maintain of assigned port/terminal inventory.
  
• Assist other ICSS with their duties or upon their absence.
  Other Duties and Responsibilities
  
  • Release of cargo
    
  • Verify import accounts payable invoices for payment.
    
  • Assistance in managing CFS accounts; Primary Freight /Food for The Poor/Tosaf
    
  • Referring cargo to General Order (G.O.)
    Qualifications
    
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the import transportation field.
      
    • Well-versed with Microsoft Office applications.
      
    • Attention to detail and adaptability to a changing environment.
      
    • Excellent verbal and written skills.
      
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
      
    • Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
      
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
