Job Overview

Chevron North America Exploration and Production Company is accepting online applications for the position of Field Specialist Ain the Rockies Business unit. located in Greeley, CO, United States, through October 18, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. (Mountain Time). This position will assume the responsibility of Installation, Testing, and Preventative Maintenance for safety instrumented systems, production control systems, system operated valves, electrical Systems, PCN systems and related equipment. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Actively support Health, Environment, and Safety processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies, carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner, following safe operating practices, maintaining a safe work environment, and being prepared to respond to an environmental or safety event. Perform highly skilled inspection, testing, and commissioning of electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and related equipment. Install, Test and maintain Human Machine Interface, Programmable Logic Controllers, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). Partner with other employees and contractors to ensure all electronic, electrical, instrumentation, and related equipment is operating at peak efficiency per facility design. Utilize Intouch ticketing system and Infor/CMMS to prioritize and manage work orders for PMs, facility and equipment testing, project schedules, and equipment installation/commissioning. Interpret facility IFC design packages and specifications to develop and execute appropriate installation plans and document as applicable within Business Unit applications. Coordinate with engineering, construction, QC and production teams to ensure correctness of installations. Assure all work performed adheres to Chevron's Operational Excellence standards, regulatory requirements, and any other applicable Business Unit Safe Work Standards. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: High School or Equivalent. Valid Driver's License. 3 years current oil and gas or related technical and instrumentation experience. Ability and willingness to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends and holidays of assigned work schedule and overtime based on workload. Must live within 50 miles of the workplace. Ability to successfully complete a post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination, as well as pre-placement verification of the information and qualifications provided during the selection process. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated commitment to Chevron Way Values. Minimum 5 years current instrumentation and control experience in oil and gas or related petrochemical industries. Broad knowledge of installing, testing and troubleshooting electronic, instrumentation related equipment, including but not limited to: process indicators, electronic process control, SCADA, transmitters, calibration procedures, process equipment, calculations, technical drawings, loop schematics and control diagrams, gas monitors, fire detection instruments, network equipment to include wireless and general knowledge of PLC logic and control. Electrical Journeyman License or NFPA 70e Electrical Worker Certificate. Experience in SIMOPS controls, protocols, and safe work practices with high risk activity and activity in hazardous work areas. General understanding of motor controls, transformers, lightning arrestors, grounding, emergency systems, test equipment and procedures, cable terminations, heat trace, and lighting. Basic to experienced knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), CMMS/Infor, and an aptitude for learning new software packages. Capable of simultaneously performing multiple tasks with limited supervision. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers. Ability to manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision. Able to direct work and activities for team as needed. Relocation options: Relocation will not be considered for this position. International Considerations: Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
