Summary: HVAC Installer will assist in installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in both large/small, new/remodel commercial structures. Installers will be required to install all HVAC equipment and material including but not limited to SMACNA (Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association) standard and local codes.
General Duties and Responsibilities - (included, but not limited to):
Install sheet metal duct systems
Cutting of metal, concrete, insulation, wood etc.
Properly read tape measure
Ability to read blue print drawing
Hole cutting (walls, roof and flooring)
Properly operate lifts (scissor, aerial)
Determine material needed for installation
Off load and receive all materials and equipment needed for installation
Maintain working relationship with co-workers and superiors
Maintain working relationships with job superintendents, construction management and all other tradesmen
Education/Experience/Skills:
Willingness to invest in hand tools and battery drill
Ability to follow written and verbal directions as given
High standards in regard to Safety Guidelines
Safely work from heights and tight working conditions
Ability to operate power and hand tools safely
Us of safe lifting procedures
Ability to use full range of body motion including but not limited to climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, lifting, bending and twisting
Licenses or Certifications Required:
TN Driver's License and insurability requirements may apply
Pre-employment drug test required
Physical/Mental/Visual Requirements: Requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, use of manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near/far vision, color definition, hearing, and speech. Heavy lifting required. Frequently climbs, kneels, bends, steps up/down and/or reaches above shoulder.
Physical Working Conditions: Works outside, exposed to excessive cold/heat, excessive humidity/dampness and operates moving equipment or vehicles. Rarely works alone, exposed to dust/dirt/pollen, water, chemicals/ solvents/detergents/cleaners. Walks on uneven surfaces or climbs ladders. Hazards may include back injury.
