Job Overview

We're looking for a leader in our HSE team to work closely with stakeholder to build the HSE data architecture that informs and drives insights. The perfect candidate will have strong data infrastructure and data architecture skills, strong operational skills to drive efficiency and speed, strong project management leadership, and a strong vision for how BI can proactively improve companies.

As the HSE Data Systems Development and Integration Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Meeting with stakeholders to assess and determine business needs and develop data collection strategy and timelines.
  • Developing, constructing, testing and maintaining sound, secure data collection systems to ensure the collection/provision of required information for HSE performance and other business needs.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, and re-design infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to design, test, review, and train managers and staff to ensure successful implementation of new data collection strategies.
  • Build analytics tools to provide actionable insights.
  • Uphold data processing, storage, security, and documentation standards.
  • Define the processes needed to achieve operational excellence in all areas, including project management and system reliability.
  • Manage the delivery of high impact dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Development experience in Intelex and Power BI

  • Demonstrate solid experience working with data architecture.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience data base development and administration
  • Have experience in enthusiastically leading change, communicating with stakeholders at all levels to successfully lead senior management through change process.
  • Be able to be flexible to cover multiple time-zones based on needs of programs and projects
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and show excellent organizational and cross-functional project management skills in a global matrix environment
  • Demonstrate a thorough and logical approach to proactively solving complex problems and implementing solutions
  • Show proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power BI, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Communicating high-level concepts to senior leadership.
  • Provide coaching and development of subordinates.
  • Be able to deliver specialized professional work delivered by single-layered team or professional work delivered by multi-layered teams.
  • Be able to handle complex professional work in the department. Cases are unique and sometimes without precedent. Employees are expected to develop innovative approaches, knowledge management is important.
  • Manage stakeholder alignment with leadership teams to initiate, lead & coordinate programs and resources with cross functional business needs and strategy.


Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in BI and Database administration and data architecture
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in SQL
  • Experience in administering and customization of Intelex applications.
  • BA/BS in business, math or other technical fields
  • Intelex App Builder Training experience


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with building scalable data solutions including implementation and customization of business intelligence tools and internal processing of Intelex enhancements.
  • Experience in data analysis, reporting and visualization, using languages and software such as Python, R, SQL, VBA, and business intelligence (BI) tools (Tableau, Power BI, or other)
  • Strong analytics and critical thinking skills; ability to organize and synthesize large datasets and use data to identify patterns and problems and formulate solutions
  • Experience with structured and unstructured data formats
  • Experience with basic applied statistical techniques
  • Ability to communicate methods and findings verbally, in writing, and visually to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a diverse, multi-skilled team
  • Strong intellectual curiosity; drive to master new skills, systems, and subject matter
  • Solid understanding of data analysis and development processes and problems
  • Knowledge of methods and procedures for data collection
  • Experience creating data collection forms, instruments and surveys for business or research use
  • Experience developing databases for collecting operational, administrative or research data to support business operations
  • Working, up-to-date knowledge of best practices for keeping data separated and secure
  • Ability to work with business and technology partners to solicit and document business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple work-streams simultaneously
  • Project management experience: ability to both see the big picture (i.e., identify goals and objectives) and be detailed-oriented (i.e., develop a timeline, assign tasks with appropriate deadlines)
  • Experience working with MS Office suite of applications
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience
