Hours will vary from 7a-3:30p. There will be days to cover shifts for the Operations Manager, up to 8/month as needed - 6:30a-4p.

Occ Summary

Perform supervisory duties in the care, cleaning, and general housekeeping of Duke University Health System facilities.

Work Performed

Establish and maintain housekeeping sch edules and assign employees toareasfor various housekeeping duties; con duct comprehensive inspectionto check the completion of work assignments .Ensure thatassignments are appropriately staffed and that employees hav e adequatesupplies and equipment for completion of assignments.Discussge neral housekeeping procedures with personnel of the assigned area;recomm end and implement changes in procedures.Maintain recordsand submit repor ts concerning personnel, equipment, supplies, expense,and general housek eeping activities.Take necessary action tocorrect any mechanical, struct ural, or electrical condition in need ofrepair or replacement.Recommend various personnel actionincluding, but not limited to, hiring, performan ce appraisals,promotions, transfers and vacation schedules.Monitor anden sure the training of new personnel.Perform other relatedduties incidenta l to the work described herein.
