Meeting housekeeping standards by cleaning assigned rooms in accordance with PPMW policies and procedures, and in compliance with established universal precautions and infection control practices
Essential Functions:
- Dusts furniture, cabinets and other fixtures
- Sweeps, mops and polishes floors (if indicated)
- Vacuums carpets and shampoos (if indicated)
- Cleans exam rooms, including examination tables and stools, other furniture, countertops, sinks, and cabinetry
- Scours and sanitizes sinks, toilets, and countertops, replenishes bathroom supplies
- Cleans mirrors, light fixtures, doors, windows and window sills
- Cleans walls and woodwork/moldings removing scuff marks, handprints, etc.
- Empties wastebaskets, collects other designated trash and disposes of it appropriately
- Keeps utility and storage areas neat and clean
- Follows established infection control and universal precautions' policies and procedures when performing daily tasks
- Notifies the Building Engineer of needed supplies
- Other related duties as assigned by the building engineer
Qualifications:
- Prior experience cleaning office buildings, medical office experience preferred
- Must be dependable
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Must be physically capable of extensive walking, stooping, pushing, carrying, climbing, bending and lifting 50 lbs independently
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States

Ability to multi-task and to work effectively under pressure due to conflicting demands is required. Mathematical SkillsMust possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Requires ability to interpret basic financial data and communicate implications to managers. Must have the ability to develop and manage a budget, including elements of cost analysis, cost management and revenue forecasting.
Computer SkillsExcellent keyboarding skills with high level of accuracy required. Must have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, possess capacity to learn software programs required for specific position and must be able to access electronic communications, including email, Extranet, Intranet, and Internet.
