Mission: The core mission of a Help Desk Technician is ensuring efficient and accurate technical assistance to Short's Travel Management employees. They will serve as the first point of contact when an end user submit requests. They will use their best judgement to prioritize tickets based on severity of impact, ask pertinent questions and use troubleshooting skills to resolve or escalate issues in a timely manner. The Help Desk Technician will document resolution techniques, add their own how-to notes to the current library, and suggest new methods of improvement to procedures as they find them.
Position Outcomes:
1. Responding to STM staff requests for support, technology consulting, or implementation assistance.
2. Analyzing and improving help desk support processes
3. Updating & creating new documentation of user support topics, new staff onboarding and employee education.
