DeFord Contracting Inc. is looking for an _experienced and hardworking _ Heavy Equipment Technician for Civil Construction city projects in and around the Greater Edmonton Area.

Responsibilities:
Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs
Interface with field staff in order to diagnose repairs
Work with the Supervisor on various tasks
Provide support with reference to on-site safety requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-5 years' experience - experience working in civil construction is considered an asset
Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
Understanding of the Caterpillar product line, _considered an asset_
Must possess a strong dedication to safety
Engine and/or component rebuilding experience, _considered an asset_
Transmission or Hydraulic testing, _considered an asset_
Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
_Some_ computer skills needed
Reliable transportation and a positive attitude
