A proven strong work ethic, with good organizational skills and the ability to work with a diverse team, are just what we are looking for. This position requires flexibility, the aptitude to follow direction and the capability to perform a variety of physical, work-related tasks. Successful completion of CDL Class A with Passenger Endorsement training and testing will be required - CATA provides training and testing for the selected candidate. As a Heavy Duty Service Technician at CATA, you will be working with a team of dedicated employees who are committed to providing excellent service to our staff and customers. Some pertinent responsibilities of the position are listed below. Assisting in performing general maintenance and repair of transit coaches, automobiles, and equipment; Performs periodic maintenance on vehicles in conformance with manufacturer s specifications and requirements; Inspects vehicles for damage and wear; Changes and repairs all sizes and types of tires; Does minor mechanical repairs and performs minor component replacement and repair; Makes service calls to repair and/or retrieve disabled vehicles ; Works in conjunction with mechanics on major repairs; Performs Pennsylvania State vehicle inspections per vehicle code; Operates and qualifies on fuel dispensing equipment to include CNG, Diesel and Gas; Benefits For this position CATA offers paid time off (vacations, sick days, holiday, etc.), Health Insurance (medical, dental and vision), 401(a), 457, Roth IRA, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), free membership to health club, free transit pass, annual shoe and tool allowance, and uniforms provided and cleaned by the employer.
