Overview The Call Center operates Monday - Friday from 7:30a - 6p. Work hours will be variable to meet needs of the call center. This position could transition into remote work days. Description The schedule for this part-time position is 7, 8-hour days (4 days one week, 3 days the other week) with usual shift of 8:30a-5p which may vary based on needs of call center. JOB DESCRIPTION: + Serves as a liaison between the general calling public and Emory HealthCare faculty, professionals, and staff. + Assesses caller's request and matches them to the most appropriate physician/service within Emory Healthcare. Operates the console of telephone lines and associated equipment. + Refers callers to appropriate physicians, services, or community resources within established procedures and guidelines. + Collects and inputs demographic information into computer on all new callers and updates information on repeat callers. + Provides documentation according to established policies and procedures. + Performs related responsibilities as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board and two years of clinical experience. + Experience using computer software including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and the Internet. + Experience with telephone consoles. + PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (MediumMax 25lbs): up to 25 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 25 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks.
