Job Title: Hazmat Driver

Location: Henderson Texas

FSLA Classification: This is a Non-Exempt Hourly position. Eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week.

Purpose: This position is to transport finished goods between our Henderson facility and customer locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Report to District Manager
• This position is responsible for the safe and legal loading and transporting production chemicals.
• It is required that all drivers maintain ELDs, inspections/registration and maintenance on company tractors and trailers
• Safe industry standards and practices are expected (ex: proper PPE, grounding, etc.)

Education, Certifications, Licenses Required or Preferred:

• Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Industry certifications (H2S, PEC, HAZCOM, forklift, First Aid CPR).

Job Specific Skills or Experience Required or Preferred:

• Preferred: At least 1 year Class A, HAZMAT and tanker experience

Working Conditions and or Physical Demands:

• Transporting totes/drums of products to/from customer location.
• Working outdoors, loading/unloading totes/drums with forklift
• Regularly required to stand, sit, and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently required to climb or balance; (Consistently getting in and out of the truck, work with 11/2" hose, drag hose and put in top of tank to fill using a step ladder, climb stairways over firewall to get to tanks, consistently walking and climbing), stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell.
• The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• This position requires the ability to wear the following personal protective equipment including safety glasses, face shields, goggles, earmuffs/plugs, hard hat, steel toe boots, SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus,) H2S detectors, slicker or TYVEK chemical suits and gloves.
