Many of our clients come to QLI defeated after sustaining a head injury or spinal cord injury. They are in the hospital for weeks or months and grooming is the last of their priorities. Here are some of the amazing individuals you will help:

--Cindy: Her head was partially shaven from brain surgery and the remainder of her hair has six weeks of roots grown out.

--Joe: He was in the hospital for ten weeks his hair and his beard are long because none of his nurses had the time to give him a clean shave and his usual 3-week buzz cut.

--Jen: She had a stroke five years ago but still loves heavy metal bands and expresses herself through pink hair.

As the Stylist you can help bring our Mission of delivering life-changing care, protecting dignity and creating hope. And the best part is that you will be an independent contractor and all appointments and billing will be handled for you so you can focus on utilizing your creative skills to help people feel their best.

QLI is a national leader in providing a comprehensive approach to the therapeutic process of a person recovering from the effects of a spinal cord or traumatic brain injury. We are a passionate and mission-focused team committed to delivering life-changing rehabilitation and care. We offer modern surroundings for our residents on our rehabilitation campus, our Assisted Living, and our long-term care.

Requirements:

--Provide full hair services, which may include cut, color, style, wax and facial trim.

--Braiding or weaving Type 4 hair (preferred)

--Supply your own implements and tools we will provide all beauty supply products and sanitizing products

--Maintain confidentiality of information

--Manage own hours of operation and schedule. Hours should be consistent, preferably 2-3 days per week, preferably hours will be between 10 am -5pm.

--Maintain safety standards to include sanitizing hair cutting tools and salon instruments according to industry regulations.

--Maintain cleanliness of work area to include sweeping hair.

Education / Certification / Insurance

1. Licensed and registered cosmetologist In the State of NE.
2. Must provide copies of current comprehensive professional liability and public liability insurance.
3. Hair styling experience of 1-year (preferred), however, open to new graduates.

Vaccination Requirements:

1. All team members and independent contractors are required to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination. If needed, we will provide vaccination at QLI, free of charge.

2. Annual flu vaccine is required during flu season for all team members and independent contractors. If needed, we will provide vaccination at QLI, free of charge.
