One Whistler Village Partners DBA Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside has been in operation since 1997 in Whistler, British Columbia. Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside operates as a hotel under the branding of Pan Pacific Lodge Whistler.

The property boasts the best address in Whistler as it is slope side to Whistler /Blackcomb Mountain and operates as a full-service hotel that has 121 self-contained Strata titled units. It offers a pool, 2 hot tubs, fitness area and Eucalyptus steam room to guests. Also on site are a successful Irish Pub (owned and managed by the same hotel group) and two ski rental shops (owned and operated separately).

In 2005, under the company name Whistler Baseline Partners, a second hotel opened up in Whistler: The Pan Pacific Village Centre. This is a full-service hotel that has 83 self contained strata title units with a restaurant, pool, 2 hot tubs, sauna and fitness area.

Position Details:
POSITION: GUEST SERVICES AGENT REPORTING LINE: Manager on Duty & Front Office Manager
LOCATION: Mountainside
START DATE: ASAP
HOURS/SHIFTS: 40 hours/week, varied shifts and days

Position Duties :

Pan Pacific Lodge Whistler is looking to fill one (1) position as Guest Services Agent with a candidate who is reliable, trustworthy and who loves customer care for our hotel located in Whistler, BC.

The Guest Service Agent's duties include:

Provide pre-arrival services including communications, reservations and Guest Service bookings and Information.

Provide arrival experience services, including greeting, luggage and ski storage, check-in, portering, shuttle service, car valet and concierge duties.

Provide in-house services, including cashiering and foreign exchange, bell and concierge services.

Provide departure services including luggage pick-up and storage, check-out services and offering assistance as needed.

Provide accurate and timely information about events and services available to guests.

Promote food and beverage and retail partners.

Provide directions to locations within and outside of the hotel.

Receive and listen to guest complaints and resolve in a satisfactory manner; escalate to the duty manager as required.

Maintain an organized system of current written information about all local events and services offered by approved suppliers and service providers.

Performing other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager or Duty Managers.

Put into action, "Personalized care because we genuinely care".

Clean other areas of the hotel as required.

Qualifications :

1-3 years in a customer service capacity

Organized and detail orientated

Excellent problem-solving skills

The ability to deal with multiple tasks at the same time

Possess a passion for customer service

Impeccable grooming standards and excellent interpersonal skills; quick to smile and engage in conversation

Excellent command of English, a second language is an asset

In-depth knowledge of Whistler, the surrounding areas and of local tourist products

Good knowledge of computers and a variety of programs

Experience with general office equipment

Experience managing a cash float, credit cards and a variety of currencies.

Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management is a definite asset.

Education :

Minimum of secondary school required

Benefits :

Competitive wage: CAD $18.00 to $22.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

Health benefits & dental care coverage after 6 months of work

RESP Contribution

5 days of paid sick leave annually (after 3 months probation)

Extra Requirements :

Varied shifts and days on 5 days/week

Availability to work throughout weekends/holidays required

Willing to relocate to Whistler, if applicable
