To request reasonable accommodation, please contact . We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced engineer to lead the Analog and Power Electronics Group. This group focuses on design and testing of Analog and Power electronics systems, from the conceptual stage to fieldable prototypes. This is a design engineering position that requires the ability to apply sound engineering principles for the leadership and execution of electronics development projects within the Electronics Division. The Group Leader is the first-level of engineering management and will be a hands-on technical leader. Specific responsibilities include working with the Division Leader to: a) support the career development, growth, and project assignments of the Group's engineering staff; b) develop the Group's technical vision and capabilities; and c) assist in the oversight of project execution within the group. In addition to the managerial responsibilities, the candidate will be a direct contributor to projects and business development activities. In this capacity, the selected candidate will collaborate with other staff members to develop and transition innovative technologies. Responsibilities: + Hire, mentor, develop and support the career development, growth, and project assignments of the group's engineering staff. Assist in the oversight of project execution within the group. + Develop the Group's technical vision and capabilities. + Develop and maintain best-practices and processes for Analog and Power electronics design. + Contribute to proposals and business development. + Work with the division leader and senior staff to develop technology development plans. + Contribute directly to RF system architecture, design, and prototyping on projects. Required Qualifications: BS or MS (preferred) degree in Electrical Engineering with greater than 14+ years of relevant experience. + Great EE fundamentals. Strong analysis and problem solving skills. + Experience in the following areas is important: Analog and power electronics, noise analysis & mitigation, sampling and control theory. + Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging. + Design of experiments creation, execution and data analysis. + System grounding/shielding and EMI mitigation techniques for complex systems, which may include high frequency switched-mode power electronics, RF circuitry, and high speed digital electronics located in close physical proximity with precision sensors/actuators. + Willingness to travel.
