Position Summary Details ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Grounds Person. Essential Functions the Grounds Person is expected to perform a variety of skilled or semi skilled tasks, or skilled labor related to grounds and way maintenance, installation or construction. Maintain cleanliness of grounds including litter control, leaf removal and sweeping of paved areas. Report to work under emergency conditions such as snow removal, downed trees and storm water maintenance, as required. Act as crew leader in some tasks as assigned. Supports Special Events, when necessary, by moving tables, chairs, bleachers and similar activities. Responsibilities Maintains property grounds by cutting lawns; trimming and edging along walkways, flower beds, and walls; trims bushes and trees; plants bushes and flowers; applying lawn care chemicals as needed and removing snow and spread salt. Also repairs and maintains mowers, blowers, and sprinkler systems. Escorts subcontractors as required Has knowledge of warehouse/inventory management principles and best practices Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills Is able to prioritize projects and has strong problem-solving skills Has good research skills and is highly organized, with strong attention to detail Is able to work independently Is able to speak, read, and write English Qualifications One year of similar experience preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older
