Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function)

The purpose of this position is to provide a leadership position with responsibility to manage the development of greenhouse gas inventories and facility leakage audits for all compressor facilities

Champion Northern Natural Gas' participation with the One Future Coalition, the EPA Methane Challenge program, the EPA Natural Gas STAR program, corporate ESG reporting, the greenhouse gas program, and the methane emission reduction initiative.

Conduct quarterly surveys to comply with 40 CFR 60 OOOOa - Standards of Performance for Crude Oil and Natural Gas Facilities.

Typical Duties

Manage the overall greenhouse gas program for Northern Natural Gas and provide greenhouse gas compliance technical support to environmental and operations personnel.

Maintain the greenhouse gas database and the associated reporting to state and federal agencies.

Conduct greenhouse gas audits throughout the pipeline system.

Support the company's STAR program and methane reduction goals.

Conduct quarterly surveys to comply with 40 CFR 60 OOOOa - Standards of Performance for Crude Oil and Natural Gas Facilities.

Provide data to support the corporate Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, business administration or related technical field; or equivalent work experience. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)

Six or more years of related work experience in the environmental field.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Excellent human relations skills to coordinate and interface with sometimes conflicting interest groups to achieve mutually satisfactory results.

Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

Support the company's employee policies and procedures, including workplace safety rules.
