Opportunities for Advancement
The GMAW Welder will construct, fit, and weld guard rail components using shop drawings and pre-cut parts. You must be capable of reading drawings, weld symbols and weld procedures. Products must be assembled and welded per stringent quality standards and meet all specific codes. The use of all basic steel fabrication tools is needed and expected.
Responsibilities
Prepare component assemblies for welding
Verify welding is in accordance with the specific codes and weld procedures
Adjust welding equipment as needed
Perform welds as specified and directed by supervisor
Clean and prepare finished products for inspection
Keep our personal tools and assigned tools in proper working order
Communicate with your supervisor
Work must be completed in a timely manner consistent with the best of the industry
Shift: M-Th 6am-4:30pm F 6am - 2:30pm Saturdays when needed
Job Type: Full Time
Pay:
1G = $18.00 - $23.69 hr DOE, +OT
3G = $19.00 - $25.00 hr DOE, +OT
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
1-2 years GMAW 1G experience or recent welding trade school graduate
Interpret weld procedures
Ability to be Crane Certified
Ability to be Forklift Certified
Understand AWS codes and procedures
Must be able to read and utilize a tape measure
Environment
Job requires outdoor work and indoor in all weather conditions with extreme temperatures. Majority of work is done indoors in a heated area.
