Responsibilities

Job Purpose

Responsible for supporting overall business of a product line on a global scale. This includes supporting Geozone Management with high profile projects coordination, product line strategy and implementation, product development direction, technical and commercial support. Collaborates closely with Global Product Line team to provide Geozone input, and to gather and implement product line strategies across the locations.

Duties & Responsibilities

QUALITY

OPERATIONS
  • Provide global technical services and application support for products and services to employees within the business unit, clients, and other business units with Weatherford
  • Assist local operations with the introduction and continued support of products/services into the market, including travelling to those locations as required
  • Provide input to Product Line Management on product request / development
  • Liaison with Engineering, R&D, Vendors, Logistics and Marketing on new product development
  • Ensure technical manuals are current and provide resources for enlarging the portfolio of product literature
  • Guide Research and Development with requirements of new features and capabilities in the product portfolio
  • Coordinate with supply chain in forecasting demand accurately, manage inventory turns and ensure on time delivery across all Geozones
  • Foster an environment where innovation, entrepreneurship and courage are valued and encouraged
  • Demonstrates high degree of creativity, foresight and mature judgment in planning, organizing and guiding extensive engineering activities
  • Proven ability to problem-solve from the big strategic challenges to the small tactical decisions and challenge status quo
  • Ensure SOP's are in place or assist in writing additional ones
  • Work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to provide reporting and analysis that will facilitate business improvement and operational efficiency
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job
  • Collaborate with leadership to promote the continual quality improvement strategy of the company to meet strategic business objectives and profitability
  • Provide a critical support role in tracking the execution of business plans

COMMUNICATION
  • Manage a portfolio of optimized / new product requests mapped to clients' needs
  • Insight into overall customer service delivery projects and review with internal stakeholders and client to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Assist sales with maturing opportunities and product knowledge/availability
  • Represent the company and product line's best interest in a professional manner at client or industry meetings
  • Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external

PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
  • Assist Geozone Product Line Management with Competency Training
  • Provide product training to Global Sales representatives
  • Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function, compliance & business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience
  • Employees should engage on a regular basis with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potential

Qualifications

Experience & Education

REQUIRED
  • Engineering degree plus 10+ years oilfield experience or equivalent
  • Have experience with Stimulation (proppant and Acidizing)
  • 3+ years of experience in product management/project management with demonstrated history in managing complex projects, with an acute attention to quality
  • Prefer interational experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED
  • Demonstrates high degree of creativity, foresight and mature judgment in planning, organizing and guiding extensive engineering activities
  • Proven ability to problem-solve from the big strategic challenges to the small tactical decisions and challenge status quo.

  • Ability to handle multiple project activities simultaneously, coordinate and interact with multiple company departments and outside companies

  • Familiarity with reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
