Position is located in Providence, RI

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Analyze flow data received from utilities and reconcile issues & imbalances related to that data.
• Develop and utilize appropriate forecasting models & strategies to project customer requirements under various conditions.
• Maintain excellent relationships with natural gas utility contacts to ensure a cooperative approach to the resolution of problems.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with large customers to anticipate the impact of operational changes on forecasted gas volumes to minimize exposure.
• Gain & maintain a complete understanding of operational & commercial aspects of LDC gas tariffs with respect to impacts on scheduling requirements.
• Assist in automation of processes as well as testing of internal application enhancements related to the scheduling function.
• Ad-hoc analyses & reporting as requested.

Working Conditions:

• Provide 24/7 support as part of rotating on call schedule to support internal and external partners.
• Deadline-oriented environment requiring fast paced decision making.
• Hybrid office environment.
• Periodic travel as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma with 2 or more years of gas scheduling experience or bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
• Strong quantitative, analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
• Experience with data analysis and reporting
• Experience with VBA and/or Python
