The Museum of Illusions is an interactive experience showcasing feats of art and architecture that fool the human brain and deceive our senses. Located nearby New York City's famous Meatpacking District, our mission has always been to delight people of all ages. We are dedicated to delivering a fun and engaging experience, using a variety of intriguing optical illusions to educate and inspire.
The Museum of Illusions is looking for an adaptable, proactive, and responsible team-player with excellent communication skills who will fulfill our role of Customer Service Associate.
Our Customer Service Associates provide our guests with general introduction and exhibit information, scan admission tickets, handle gift shop operations, answer telephones, and manage the flow of guests throughout the museum.
You must be a friendly and charismatic go-getter with a calm demeanor. You should enjoy entertaining and helping people. You must also be capable of managing large crowds and handling outdoor conditions when necessary. Be aware that you will be part of a collaborative team which works together to ensure our guests learn something new and have a fantastic time while at the museum. Students are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities
Represent the Museum of Illusions brand with respect and enthusiasm
Provide top notch customer service to all visitors
Consistently present a positive, friendly, and service-oriented attitude
Manage indoor and outdoor crowd-control, lines, ticketing, and check-in
Adhere to time-slot capacity regulations
Offer entry information and guidance to all guests
Maintain thorough knowledge of all exhibitions (a museum manual will be provided)
Offer exhibit explanations and take pictures for guests as needed
Engage guests in conversation about museum content
Communicate and enforce museum policies
Operate POS ticketing systems in accordance with our manual and maintain an accurate cash register throughout the workday
Contribute to museum opening and/or closing procedures
Ensure the high-quality presentation of all exhibitions and spaces
Work with our maintenance team to clean, disinfect, and organize all exhibits, surfaces, and spaces when needed
Assist guests with emergency situations as needed
Other duties as assigned by supervisors

Enjoys working with others
Has superb communications skills
Has substantial photography experience
Creative with an eye for interior design
Is responsible and reliable
Able to resolve conflicts effectively
Able to walk/stand for long periods of time
Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining continued attention to detail
Able to receive feedback and constructive criticism
Has a flexible schedule
