SCOPE OF WORK:
The Foreperson is required to make the decision of when/how he/she needs to allocate time to supervise workers. The Foreperson must ensure that all facets of the work specifications of an assigned contract are met including all daily cleaning schedules, periodical cleaning schedules, grounds keeping schedules, and other assigned tasks according to guidelines set.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Foreperson may be required to drive an AHRC vehicle to transport program participants supplies, and equipment with the purpose of meeting all janitorial specifications, such as stripping floors, cleaning carpets, other janitorial tasks, and all grounds keeping tasks under the agreed specifications. In addition, the Foreperson will be required to supervise and coordinate the activities of other workers, assign tasks and inspect completed work for conformance to standards. Resolve workers problems or refer matters to the appointed supervisor. Train new workers, record hours worked, recommend discharge for incompetent workers, and perform other personnel duties as required. The Foreperson must be available to work a flexible schedule. The Foreperson may be required to travel throughout the metropolitan area.
The Foreperson will be required to:
Develop a plan-of-action to address concerns or problems at the assigned site.
Reinforce training and/or assist program participant to complete job tasks.
Keep communication device (provided by agency) in working condition and on during working hours e.g. cell phone, direct connect radio or beeper to allow access from employees, program participants, and customers to attend problems or requests.
Fill out written inspection forms once a month as specified.
Be on location as assigned by a work schedule.
Be prepared to handle emergencies as they arise.
Responsible for on-the-job training and daily supervision of production of employees in their assigned work areas.
Must maintain payroll records as directed by the Regional Manager.
Must use efficient procedures or techniques and must ensure proper use of equipment or chemicals by porters or landscapers.
Reduce or eliminate waste. This includes wasted time, wasted materials, and wasted supplies.
A key part of the Foreperson is ensuring that all work is performed in a safe manner. You must be committed to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. You should stress OSHA/HAZCOM regulations and HRS Safety Policy at all times.
Finally, and important requirement is to maintain good relationships with all the Operations Mangers and other appointed staff at our contracted sites. The Foreperson will act as a liaison between the assigned sites(s) and HRS. General duties may not be limited to the above.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have supervisory experience.
Must have relevant janitorial/grounds keeping experience.
Should be organized and highly motivated.
Own transportation preferred.The pay rate for this position is $31.09 per hour plus health benefits after 3 months of employment.
