Job Overview

SUMMARY: Performs a variety of service and housekeeping duties, including facility cleaning and maintenance. Operates various equipment to clean, polish, and vacuum.

Floor Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Follows infection control procedures related to housekeeping and laundry.
Dispenses housekeeping supplies.
Removes trash and waste materials from designated areas.
Cleans (shampoo) mats at entrances.
Cleans stairwells - dry and wet mop.
Dry and wet mops floors.
Observes and reports the need to repair equipment, furniture and fixtures; performs maintenance on housekeeping equipment.
Cleans vacant apartments and cottages; provides residential carpet cleaning service; cleans upholstered furniture.
Provides preventative and corrective maintenance on carpets and hard surface flooring - which includes dry and wet mopping, Scrubbing and buffing, shampooing and spotting and applying all finishes.
Complies with facility safety programs.
Attends in-service training programs.
Moves furniture within the building.
Clean exterior of exhaust and intake grills and vents as assigned.
Clean wheel chairs as scheduled.
Observe and report the need to repair furniture and fixtures.
Assist in cleaning of emergency spill observed or upon request
Adheres to the Peter Becker Community Code of Conduct and all Corporate Compliance and HIPAA Policies and Procedures.
Attends all mandatory in-services.
Attendance is an essential function for this position.
Adheres to facility and department dress code.
Performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma Preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to understand English and understand job responsibilities. Must be able to read and write basic English.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Floor Technician will Maintain a clean environment throughout the facility. Job tasks will involve exposure to cleaning chemicals requiring precautions.
