Job Overview
Qualifications:
Be able to do repetitive stooping, lifting, bending, and standing while operating equipment.
Good mechanical aptitude to be able to sequence equipment for proper start-up and shut-down, understanding machinery and conveyor logic and controls, and possess good troubleshooting skills.
Able to identify line problems and assist maintenance team with corrective actions.
May be required to obtain a valid forklift license and be able to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
Ability to properly use and under SDS sheets and lock out tag out procedures.
Knowledge of basic hand tools;
Excellent physical condition and coordination
High school diploma
Not mentally or physically impaired from any cause that can adversely affect ability to safely and competently perform required functions
Ability to accurately gauge lengths of time and distance
Ability to take prompt and appropriate response to operating conditions
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to lift and stack product up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in various temperatures of extreme ranges.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Properly and consistently run all packaging equipment. Occasionally provide relief for other operators, as assigned.
If qualified with a Company forklift operator's safe driving course and issued an operating license, will drive forklift to move trash, equipment, and pallets of material.
Responsible to clean, sweep, mop, and scrub production area floors, walls, and ceilings.
Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot all casing equipment, bar coding systems, and print & apply labelers.
Conduct adjustments to conveyors as necessary to optimize packing lines.
Identify and report problems on packaging lines and assist in resolving those problems.
Use of computer terminals as necessary to make adjustments and optimize production lines.
Perform additional production responsibilities as assigned.
Meets all "Good Manufacturing Practices".
Practice safety requirements established by OSHA and Peace River Citrus Products.
Conforms to requirements of PRCP food safety programs.
Be available to work extended shifts and days.
Any additional duties assigned by supervisor.
