PLEASE NOTE - This role is requiring candidates to be available for field support on Saturday's and Sunday's
Position Overview:
The Field Technician will be supporting Corporate Restaurant locations, addressing issues with installed equipment, and overseeing support efforts while traveling to multiple locations daily. This individual will use their technical skills to troubleshoot respective issues when they arise to ensure the overall equipment health, which would include repairs, installs, and upgrades to restaurant technical systems.
In this position, the Field Technician will also help to manage and ensure the best customer experience for those we serve. This position is not limited to only these functions as the Field Technician's role continues to elevate as we solidify our support efforts around the business needs to ensure technical continuity.
Desired Knowledge, Skill Sets, and Abilities for the Field Technician:
• Each Field Technician will be responsible for around 14 - 16 sites with a total of 48 sites divided among them
• Daily you will visit the sites within your AOR to address issues and then document them accordingly within ServiceNow (SNOW)
• Manage on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, and testing of equipment (Examples: Imaging equipment, Running Network Cabling, Testing functionality after setup of POS, KDS, Printers, and more.)
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
• Follow all client procedures and required safety protocols
• Collaborate with internal and external technical teams around incident restoration efforts
• Comprehend customer requirements, make appropriate recommendations, and briefings as needed
• Build positive relationships with the on-site personnel, internal support teams, and respective support partners
• Attend meetings and provide feedback to address any field-related concerns
• Training on-site personnel on how to accomplish the basic task to focus on issues
• Standing for long hours, working on network racks, and occasional heavy lifting
Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience. A degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer/Data Systems Management or a related field or discipline is preferred but not required
• 3+ years of technical experience in desktop, application deployment, configuration management cabling and hardware installation
• Candidate must be comfortable with multitasking across several projects and managing several stakeholders at any given time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; business into technical details and vice versa
• Ability to speak Spanish would be a bonus, but not required
• Problem-solving skills to diagnose problems with malfunctioning equipment
• Self-motivated, trustworthy, with the ability to initiate team unity and encourage team morale
• Experience with ServiceNow incident tracking while capable of holding vendors accountability for restoration efforts
• Required- ability to work weekends as needed, or based on individual support shift or role
• Ability to work late nights based on individual project needs (limited requirements if at all)
• Time-management skills to handle appointments efficiently and stay on schedule
• Great attention to detail to identify issues and complete reports, and repairs
• Organizational skills to keep tools and paperwork organized while in the field
• Hands-on experience with the installation of equipment, imaging devices, and basic knowledge of networks infrastructure
