We are representing a rapidly growing Chicago-based manufacturer of packaging automation machinery. While the organization is comprised of roughly 250 people, they generate over $70 million in revenue annually. They supply their innovative machinery to primarily the food and beverage industry! Due to a recent retirement within the organization, they are seeking a service technician to join their team to cover the following states: Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. About 50-60% of the role will be overnight travel, and another 20-30% of day trips via company car to various parts of the territory. This individual will be focused on maintenance, repair, installs, and commissioning of the organizations equipment. The job will include a good foundational understanding of both electrical and mechanical maintenance but will include higher pressure situations in front of customers. THIS INDIVIDUAL WILL BE COMPENSATED FOR ALL TRAVELING NEEDS!

Electrical troubleshooting skills:

• Experience troubleshooting PLC's (programming is a plus)
• Working with voltage of 120v up to 480v
• Experience reading electrical schematics

Strong mechanical aptitude:

• Good foundational understanding of how equipment works and how machinery is put together.
• Ability to read a basic blueprint for a motor and be able to assemble it by reading the blueprint.
