Field Service Technician (WEST COAST: CA, WA, CO, ID, OR)

On-site (travel up to 90%)

The ideal candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities including maintenance, repair, and calibration of field equipment. The successful candidate will be a problem solver who is responsive to customers' needs.

Responsibilities:

• Complete and turn in field reports that capture all time and work completed on site
• Provide diagnostic analysis, repair, or preventative maintenance to customers
• Complete on-site system audits and evaluations & conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
• Practice and adhere to all safety and training

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred.
• Position requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in field service with a background in packaging materials, mechanical parts and assemblies, electronics, pneumatics, HMIs and PLC controls.
• Experience with packaging machinery or automation equipment is highly preferred.
• Skilled in servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and machinery
• Ability to perform tasks relating to mechanical, electrical, and minor programming as required to complete successful installation or maintenance of packaging and systems.
• Skilled in reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Must be knowledgeable in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, sanitation, chemical control, and basic OSHA workplace safety standards which include but are not limited to PPE, ladder safety, lock out tag out, electrical tool safety, etc.
• Advanced writing skills. Technical writing background a plus.
• FAT experience (Factory acceptance testing)
• Proficient in the following software programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Must be able to travel extensively (up to 80%) and work overtime as required.
• Full travel job, if not, remote, programming PLCs on computer

• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to qualify for a $2 Million auto insurance policy or policy umbrella (decent insurance/ car insurance)
• Clean Driving Record
• Personal Credit Card- no per diem. Everything is reimbursed.
• Valid Passport
