PAY RATE $28-$30 Field Service Engineer- DALLAS, TX Western Division (PI) Dallas, Texas REPORTS TO: Director, Field Services Western Division Client is the fastest growing provider of remote video surveillance and RFID technology services in the US. From our Command Center in Marietta, GA we outsource eyeballs and ears for commercial clients to cost-effectively drive value in security, loss prevention, risk mitigation and business intelligence. Responsibilities Perform installation and service of CCTV systems, access control, burglar alarm and other related systems for clients Install and service network equipment, including routers, switches and wireless devices Assist other technicians or affiliates (subcontractors) with installation and service assistance as required Complete all installations and services with accurate billing information, such as hours on site, reported issue, and description of work performed that affects the outcome, for all work assigned Collect project deliverables such as photos, as-builts and customer sign-offs Maintain weekly timesheets indicating the work performed, and including the start and finish times, the ticket or job number, as well as customer, and site location Perform on-site customer training and education of all installed systems Perform system takeovers and conversions Perform quality audits of work performed by other technicians at the direction of management Trouble-shoot and diagnose and issues on site Perform site surveys to assist the Project Management team and Sales team If company vehicle is assigned, responsible for ensuring completion of ongoing maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc. and maintain a documented inventory of parts and tools on the vehicle Standard work hours are 8:00am-5:00pm EST, but may be required to work overtime as needed Any other additional duties as assigned by management? Physical Restrictions & Requirements Must be able lift a minimum of 50 lbs Have ability to climb and carry ladders Ability to work at 40-foot heights and on roofs Ability to perform field installation duties requiring climbing ladders, lifting, and carrying heavy equipment, and working with hand tools overhead Drive company vehicle and may sit in traffic for extended periods of time Ability to use all hand tools up to 20 pounds in weight, good hand/eye coordination, ability to distinguish multi-colored cables Must be able to use calculator, telephone, typewriter/keyboard, and various office machines daily and be able to read and write business documents Communicate both in person and on the telephone, enter Information on the computer and read various instructions Required Qualities & Skillset Successful completion of high school or GED Two years of a college level technical course of study or military experience OR five years' experience as an alarm or low voltage technician in an apprenticeship environment Valid driver's license in state of residence AXIS cert preferred Must be able to travel out of state and work overtime required by the needs of the business Knowledge of commercial security industry, including knowledge of current applications of alarm, CCTV, networking, system configurations and related systems integration Knowledge of the security industry to include alarm, advanced networking, access control, video monitoring, intercom, and low voltage wiring applications Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings ABBTECH is an EOE/Minorities/Women/Disabled Individuals/Veterans
