We are currently seeking a Facility Maintenance Mechanic at our Roanoke manufacturing facility. Will perform routine tasks including, general cleaning, plumbing and carpentry. Will work with HVAC, electrical/lighting, fire and safety protection equipment, mechanical and control systems. Will also provide technical support for plant as required and make specific recommendations for mechanical installations. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager
Responsibilities
Ensure interior and exterior of facility is consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
Responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance of all plant and ground equipment.
Ensure projects are completed timely, correctly, safely and to the highest quality standard
Troubleshoot and maintain the following: boilers, water treatment, air conditioning units, heating units, various pumps, plumbing and plumbing stations, fire protection, tanks, agitators, heat exchangers and chillers.
Participate in CI team meetings
Perform and record preventative maintenance on all plant equipment
May be required to work directly with contractors and vendors regarding new or existing equipment issues.
Identify and report any hazardous conditions needs to immediate supervisor.
In collaboration with supervisor, establish Facility PM schedules for targeted site equipment pertaining to facility.
Maintain and document proper closeout and tracking of PM completion.
Perform painting, carpentry, and masonry related tasks.
Follow safe working practices and make appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.
Collaborate with custodial team to complete assigned projects such as cleaning lobby, lounges, corridor, restrooms, parking lots, and other work areas.
Safely and effectively use, operate, and maintain equipment and tools.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
3+ years of relevant work experience.
Experience with Work Order systems and reporting.
Knowledge of troubleshooting facility electrical
Knowledge of principles and practices of record keeping, cGMP, SOP and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of methods and techniques used in the operation, repair, and maintenance of manufacturing facilities and equipment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a team environment and work with little or no supervision.
Ability to work both indoor and outdoor environments with moderate noise levels.
Ability to troubleshoot complex problems with the use of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic prints / schematics.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
