About this role:
Under the direction of the Health Services Administrator (HSA), Program Manager (PM), or higher medical professional, the Facility Coordinator will be responsible for the daily coordination of health care services and will supervise medical staff assigned to the facility.
Additional Details: We're looking for a facility coordinator to help handle our processes at the Juvenile Detention Facility. What you bring to the table:
Education:
Completion of an accredited school of nursing
Experience:
Three (3) years of nursing experience
One year of supervisory or administrative experience in the nursing field
Previous correctional/detention facility experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
Current (and must maintain) nursing license in state of practice
Current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS certification through AHA
CCHP certification preferred
What you will do:
Perform daily sick call as needed utilizing standardized procedures and communicating with the physician for any conditions that may fall outside the scope of standardized procedures
Work collaboratively with custody staff to determine scheduling of activities on a daily basis to ensure access to care
Review and respond to persons served grievances at the first level
Respond to man down or emergency calls throughout the facility
Attend meetings with staff as needed
Schedule nursing shifts for the facility and communicate scheduling needs to the Health Services Administrator, Assistant Health Services Administrator, and Director of Nursing
Supervise the RNs/LVNs on duty
Inventory and order supplies
Perform Quality Assurance audits
May assist in the job shadow portion of the interview process of potential staff
May assist in the orientation and training of new employees
Responsible for the performance evaluations and successful training of direct reports
Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation Range: $112,900 - $137,900 / year
