The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Facilities Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Key contributor to maintaining facilities infrastructure to support new equipment and technology within a highly automated plant setting.
Accountable for reliability of facility related equipment and resolution of any issues.
Leverage various methods and technologies such as LED lighting, in-line metering, live analysis, and energy monitoring to continuously improve the carbon footprint of the plant.
Responsible for obtaining contractor bids on facility related work. Act as a 3M Designated Representative for contractor activity.
Continuously grow and develop skills to maintain a career progression within the Facilities field as it relates to ongoing technological advancements.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Two-year (2) Technical Degree in an industrial trade or equivalent training (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Possess additional HVAC courses if degree is not in HVAC related field (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Industrial experience of a minimum of 4 years in a private, public, government, or military environment
Five (5) years' experience maintaining facilities equipment, HVAC, Chillers, Building Controls, Lift Safety in a private, public, government, or military environment
Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays
Travel: May include up to % domestic
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
