The Facilities Manager reports to the Facilities Director and manages the Facility Leads in coordinating the predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance of the entire campus which includes Casino, Hotel, Event Center, Warehouse, Golf Course and Storage areas. This position also, assist in managing service and supply contracts, development of RFP/RFQ for projects, developing short term and long term capital projects, inspect work completed by engineering and outside contractors, management and execution of the CMMS, adherence of casino and departmental policies and procedures. This position requires you to be available to work on rotating shifts and/or set day/night work schedules as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Track labor, parts, and machine history in CMMS.
  • Maintain a written log of any highlights occurring during shift coverage in conjunction with proper ShiftNote entries.
  • Directs and coordinates the daily activities of all assigned department personnel and department responsibilities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment throughout the hotel.
  • Performs preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis such as "room care".
  • Communicate with hotel department heads to become aware of maintenance needs and ensures timely response to internal requests.
  • Coordinate compliance of all service contracts.
  • Hire, train and provide career development for Facilities personnel. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to employees.
  • Investigate guest complaints.
  • Participate in the LCCR Safety Committee.
  • Supports all Risk Management guidelines for fire and safety regarding Facilities including the proper storage of chemicals, paints and etc.
  • Provide assistance and instruction to employees.
  • Communicate daily with other management, and department heads and employees.
  • Assist in the development of annual capital budgets for the hotel regarding property, equipment and building repairs and replacement requirements.
  • Assist in conducting the departmental operational audits and assist in developing corrective action plans.
  • Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service
  • Understand the SDS (Safety Data Sheets) and is able to give safety instructions to employees.


ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Attend all mandatory meetings and training
  • Additional duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises Facility Leads. May at times assume responsibilities for the Casino Resort during the absence of the Facilities Director.
Requirements:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification from a college or technical school for plumbing, electrical, construction or HVAC
  • OR completion of a trade school apprenticeship program with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in one or more of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, construction or HVAC
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience in a supervisory position of technical personnel
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience as maintenance personnel in a commercial, industrial or facilities operations setting

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission
  • Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
