Purpose of the Facilities Maintenance Technician Position
The Facilities Maintenance Technician (FMT) is essential for achieving the dual mission of Full Circle Health as operational facilities enable Full Circle Health to conduct our patient care and educational activities. The FMT shall be accountable for ensuring the Full Circle Health/Family Medicine Health Center (FMHC) clinic locations and or facilities remain in safe operating order. The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs general preventive maintenance, monitors and implements repairs to buildings, facility systems, equipment and grounds under minimal supervision. The FMT utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.
The FMT works closely with the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and Director of Human Resources as well as colleagues from the Accounting, Nursing, Operations and Reception departments, among others.

Qualifications and Skills
Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Experience:
5 years or more healthcare facilities maintenance preferred but not required. Previous building and / or trades experience required.
Licensure / Certification:
Valid Driver's License and clean driving history; ability to be covered by Full Circle Health's auto policy.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Previous experience with construction, handyman, facilities maintenance, carpentry, painting, drywall, janitorial services, HVAC, basic plumbing, landscaping and electrical, locksmithing, and OSHA regulation compliance.
Knowledge of Request for Proposal and competitive bidding processes.
Facility / Life Safety experience.
Basic computer skills and experience working with internet applications and MS Office, such as Outlook, Excel.
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
Ability to type routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
Ability to regularly lift 50 - 74 lbs. Ability to occasionally lift over 75 lbs. required.
Ability to walk and / or stand for 6+ hours per day. Ability to frequently climb, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and squat required.
