SUMMARY: The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of routine and non-routine semi-skilled tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and productive work environment. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of tasks to meet the maintenance needs on the SNF Riceboro and Midway locations; these tasks can include but are not limited to painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, assembly, and electrical trade work. RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance for the Riceboro and Midway facilities, including, but not limited to carpentry, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical trades work. Ensures that the facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition. Assembles, repairs, and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fitting and fixtures. Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment; replaces filters; identifies and reports more complex maintenance needs to supervisor. Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to supervisor. Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required. Assists with structural pest control measures. Monitors inventory, orders supplies, and maintains purchase records within authorized budget. Maintains records and logs of daily activities. Follows the facilities work request system. Dedicates some hours every week for assistance with general office work related to the work order system. May be requested to assist with off-site or after-hour Company related functions. Complies with all policies and standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED is required. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. Preferably in a chemical industry or other manufacturing environments. Possesses knowledge of methods and techniques used in the operation, repair, and maintenance of facilities and equipment. Able to learn, understand, and utilize a variety of tools and equipment. Understands occupational hazards and standard safety practices. Ability to provide a high level of customer service. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Must be Microsoft Office proficient. Ability to handle a fast-paced environment. Consistent detail orientation is required. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks as needs change. Possess excellent time management skills. Effective verbal and written communication.
