Position Summary
The Facilities Supervisor manages the maintenance and grounds for all assigned buildings. This position supervises the assigned staff and is responsible for locating and developing facility sites and construction projects in response to program needs.
Responsibilities include providing training and supervision to facilities staff; maintaining buildings and grounds to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations; maintaining systems and documenting inspections; review requests for services, prioritizing, and delegating tasks; respond to emergency situations regarding facilities maintenance; participate in safety committee, clinical operations, or other committees as assigned.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred.
License/Certifications: Valid Driver's License. May be required to be licensed in a trade such as plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and/or boiler operation.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in hospital maintenance preferred. Must have experience and perform work in compliance with applicable regulations in the following areas: Plumbing, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, refrigeration, or boilers and associated control equipment.
Comprehensive knowledge of TJC, DHHS licensing, OSHA, NFPA, fire and life safety requirements, as well as other federal, state and local standards, codes and regulations.
