Job Summary/Basic Functions:

Primary job function will be maintaining Facility Maintenance, Plumbing, Building Electricity and Grounds. Will also assist to install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment and physical structure including piping and electrical systems. Assures compliance to all building and safety (OSHA) related codes.

Job Knowledge Requirements:

1. Electrician
2. Lights and fixtures (ballasts)
3. Plumbing repairs and installation
4. Sprinkler systems and fire pump
5. Framing and Carpentry
6. Drywall
7. Painting
8. Roofs
9. Work cell design and install

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, following specifications or blueprints.
2. Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical components.
3. Installs and maintains pneumatic and hydraulic piping and equipment.
4. Notifies supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed.
5. Instructs and directs any maintenance trainees assigned.
6. Has knowledge of alarm system and takes appropriate action when necessary
7. May perform custodial duties in the absence of the janitor.
8. May perform various duties as required by supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications/Education/Experience:

1. High school education.

2. Three years experience in mechanical maintenance.

3. Ability to use hand and trades type tools.

1. High mental and visual effort required.
2. Manual dexterity and strength stamina to perform tasks.
3. Ability to work on your own and follow detailed instructions.
4. Ability to read and interrupt mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical schematics.
